Our Carp location at 119 Langstaff Drive brings laboratory services to Ottawa's rural west, serving the village of Carp, West Carleton, Dunrobin, and the western edges of Kanata and Stittsville. For residents of these communities it removes the need to drive into the city for routine bloodwork. The centre offers walk-in blood and specimen collection with no appointment needed for most tests, and free parking makes visits quick and easy.
Carp is Bio-Test Laboratory's patient service centre for Carp, West Carleton, Kanata North, Stittsville and Dunrobin. Walk in Monday to Friday 7:30 am–4:00 pm with your Ontario health card and a requisition from your physician, nurse practitioner or midwife: no appointment is needed for blood work, and the typical wait is under 15 minutes. Tests ordered on a requisition are covered by OHIP. If your requisition says to fast, come first thing in the morning with water only. Samples go to Bio-Test's accredited laboratory the same day, results reach your provider within 24 to 48 hours, and you can see them in the patient portal. For X-ray, use Bio-Test's Bells Corners or Smyth centres; for ECG, Bells Corners, Smyth, Parkdale or Orléans Centrum.
