No appointment is needed for laboratory, X-Ray, and ECG services — all patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check hours of operation before visiting. Ultrasounds are performed at our Bells Corners location by appointment; call 1 (800) 409-1942 to book.

Only licensed physicians, registered practical nurses, or midwives may order lab tests, X-rays, ultrasounds, and ECGs. If you feel your healthcare provider should be ordering certain tests, please discuss your concerns with them.

X-Ray services are offered at our Bells Corners and Smyth locations. ECG services are available at Bells Corners, Smyth, Parkdale, and Orléans Centrum. Ultrasound is available at Bells Corners at select times. X-rays require no appointment; ultrasounds do (weekend appointments available) — call 613-789-4242 or email info@bio-test.ca.

The majority of tests are covered by your provincial plan — bring your health card to your visit. If a test isn't covered, you'll be asked to pay before collection and given a receipt you can claim through private insurance. We can also directly invoice Interim Federal Health, Cowan Benefits, R.C.M.P., and N.D.M.C.

Bio-Test is licensed by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to perform tests in Haematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Special Chemistry, Serology, and Cytology, and is ISO 15189Plus™ accredited through the Institute for Quality Management in Healthcare (IQMH).
