Pre-warm the plain red top tube in Dry Bath at 37°C for 10 minutes prior to collection.

Collect blood in Pre-warmed PLAIN RED top tube. IMMEDIATELY place tube in 37°C Dry Bath and let stand for 60 minutes to clot. Centrifuge at room temperature and IMMEDIATELY separate. Transfer at least 3 mL of serum to a labelled tube and cap tightly. Elastize clot tube and serum tube together.
