| CYTOLOGY URINE | CYTOF | Urine, 25-100 mL State if voided or catheterized urine collection Instruct the patient to drink one glass of water every 30 minutes for a period of 3 hours. Patient may urinate during this 3 hour period and discard urine. At the end of the 3 hour period, when the next urge to urinate arises, void directly into the methyl alcohol preservative in the specimen container. Suggest specimens be collected on 3 consecutive days. Keep specimen refrigerated. Complete a Cytology Form for each sample.
