Smyth is Bio-Test Laboratory's patient service centre for Alta Vista, Riverview, Hawthorne, Elmvale and the Smyth Road hospital district. Walk in Monday to Friday 7:30 am–4:00 pm with your Ontario health card and a requisition from your physician, nurse practitioner or midwife: no appointment is needed for blood work, and the typical wait is under 15 minutes. Tests ordered on a requisition are covered by OHIP. If your requisition says to fast, come first thing in the morning with water only. Samples go to Bio-Test's accredited laboratory the same day, results reach your provider within 24 to 48 hours, and you can see them in the patient portal. This centre also offers walk-in X-ray (Mon–Fri 8 am–4 pm, closed 12–1) and ECG.
