Workplace occupational testing
We are equipped to provide workplace testing for employees, either on site or through one of our patient centres, as part of an employer's occupational health program. Programs are arranged directly with Bio-Test client services, who confirm the tests required, the requisitions, the collection arrangements and reporting. Insurance and employment blood work
Blood tests requested for an insurance application, a pre-employment medical or travel are not insured by OHIP, so the requesting party pays; Bio-Test quotes fees through client services and there is no public price list. The tests themselves are collected the same way as any other blood work: bring the requisition supplied by the insurer's medical examiner or the employer's provider, along with photo identification, to any Bio-Test centre. What employers and insurers can expect
- Collection at any Bio-Test patient service centre during regular hours, or on-site collection arranged for groups.
- Results reported to the ordering provider on the usual laboratory turnaround: routine chemistry and hematology in 24–48 hours.
- Confidential handling: results go only to the ordering provider named on the requisition.
- One point of contact at client services for scheduling, supplies and invoicing.

Call client services at 613-789-4242 to describe your program and the tests required. For individual insurance or employment tests, simply walk in to any Bio-Test location with your requisition and identification.
